Teach them Young! JLU's Approach to Abuse Prevention.

On February 9th, 2023, the JLU team made quick stops at Saint Monica, Mile 16, and Government school Buea town to access and educate a total of 80-100 young boys and girls, The main objective for the visit was to:

To educate primary school children to understand and spot sings of abuse, learn about menstrual and personal hygiene, and child sexual abuse awareness.

The team was able to teach these children to identify the various forms of abuse to create a friendly environment to enable children who are victims of such circumstances to speak up and seek help. The discussion also extended to a passionate topic ( menstrual hygiene and self-care).

To wrap the day, the children received gift bags loaded with disposable pads and other hygiene products.

Kindly donate to support our "teach them young" awareness projects.
