While it is easy to celebrate people who are popular by default, it is the unsung heroes who sometimes make it possible to accomplish grassroot work. It is therefore essential to celebrate the women who may not be popular or known but performed some heroic deed or function in the community.
As we round up the women's month celebration, JLU recognizes two volunteers who put their lives at risk to access the population of women in need, These women went above and beyond to support victims of gender-based violence, rape and other psychological issues caused by the ongoing internal war. Through the efforts of these women, JLU can access people in need, in real time. Their Selfless attitude and contributions to the cause, make them worthy to praise.

Meet Che Belinda . She is a mother of three, a farmer who lives in the Tole community. Belinda is passionate about seeing women become the best version of themselves. She hopes for economic empowerment for gender-based violence survivors. Che Belinda is JLU's unsunghero.

Meet Salome Ebaacha, mother of 3 in Tole. Salome operates a small customer service business within the Tole community. She's passionate about family, menstrual hygiene and the empowerment of young girls and women. She is also a farmer who enjoys volunteering for the JLU Foundation. Salome is JLU's unsunghero.
